During the pandemic, we embraced camping as a way of taking a break from the city and the confines of our home in a way that felt safe. This photo was taken during our second trip to Mohawk State Park in 2021, at the little swimming hole in the Cold River across from our camp site.

This photo was selected to appear in the digital edition of American Photography 38.
